Vermicelli-Meat Biriyani

Easy biriyani with Vermicelli(Semiya) and meat

Ingredients
  

  • 250 gm Vermicelli Semiya
  • 250 gm Meat
  • 1 no Onion chopped
  • 2 nos Tomato
  • 4 nos Green chillies chopped
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
  • 1 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp Chilly powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • ½ tsp Garam masala powder
  • Cashew nuts As reqd
  • Raisins As reqd, Onakka munthiri
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 1 no Egg optional, hardboiled
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Cook meat along with all the powders including salt.
  • Drain off the excess water and mince the meat well.
  • Dry roast vermicelli in a pan.
  • Cook it in salted water and strain.
  • Fry raisins and cashews in ghee and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Add onion and sautT well.
  • Add green chillies and ginger-garlic paste and sautT again.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and sautT again.
  • Add the minced meat, coriander leaves and salt and mix well the whole thing.
  • Remove from flame.
  • Take another big bowl and mix together the meat mixture and the cooked semiya.
  • Garnish with fried cashews and raisins and egg(halved).
