Semiya Pakoda

Deep fried Vermicelli(Semiya) coated with besan batter

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Vermicelli Semiya
  • 1 no Onion chopped
  • 1 no Potato boiled
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • 2 nos Green chillies
  • 3/4 cup Gram flour Kadalapodi
  • 1 tsp Rice flour
  • 1 tsp Coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • Cashew nuts As reqd
  • 1 cup Oil

Instructions
 

  • Fry the vermicelli, till it turns light brown.
  • Add hot water and boil, till it becomes soft.
  • Filter the hot water and add cold water. Repeat this process and keep the semiya aside.
  • Mix together mashed potato, vermicelli, onion, ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, chilly powder, gram flour, rice flour, salt, coriander leaves and cashew nuts along with 2 tsp of oil.
  • :- Do not add water while mixing.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan.
  • Put small portions of the above semiya mixture into the hot oil.
  • Deep fry, till light brown colour.
  • :- Serve hot.
