Gavar Sabji

Cluster beans(Kothamarakka) cooked in garlic and chilly masala

Ingredients
  

  • 250 gm Cluster beans cut into 1/2 " pieces, Kothamarakka
  • 1 no Onion chopped
  • 1 no Tomato chopped
  • 2 nos Green chillies cut into small pieces
  • 7 - Garlic pods chopped
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder Jeerakam
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • 2 tsp Coriander leaves chopped

Instructions
 

  • Cook gavar in a pan with 1/4 cup of water, till tender.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Fry the garlic and onion, till they turn golden brown in colour.
  • Add tomatoes and chillies and saute for 2 mins.
  • Add the gavar and masala powders and continue to cook over a low flame stirring from time to time.
  • Cook for 5 mins, till its well blended and the preparation is dry.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • :-Serve hot with chappathis or rice.
