Tamil Nadu Simple & Great Tomato Chutney

Ingredients
  

  • 2 nos Tomato big
  • 1 no Onion cut into small pieces, medium
  • 2 nos Red chillies Kollamulaku
  • 2 tbsp Coriander seeds
  • 2 - Refined oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 2 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped
  • Asafoetida A pinch
  • 4 - Curry leaves

Instructions
 

  • Heat 2 tsp of oil in a kadai or a pan.
  • Add onion, red chillies and coriander seeds and fry, till the onion starts becoming transparent.
  • Add the cut tomatoes and asafoetida to this and fry, till the raw smell of tomato is gone.
  • :- It takes around 10 mins.
  • Switch off the gas and let the mixture cool.
  • Grind this with salt and coriander leaves.
  • Heat 1 tsp of oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Splutter mustard seeds.
  • Add the curry leaves and fry for 10 seconds.
  • Add the ground chutney and heat it for a min.
  • Keep mixing it well and switch off the gas.
  • :- Serve with dosa or idly.
