Wash rice, drain water and keep aside.
Heat ghee in a pan.
Add cumin seeds, cloves, bay leaves and pepper.
Add chopped onions and fry, till brown.
Add washed green peas and cook for a minute.
Add rice and cook for 2 mins.
Grind tomatoes with coriander leaves to a puree.
Add the tomato puree with water (of desired quantity) to the rice.
Add red chilly powder, salt and sugar.
Cook the rice, till the water is completely absorbed.
:- Serve with chutney or pickle.
