Apna Style Prawn Chilly

Fried Prawns in a tingling Cashew Chilly Gravy

Ingredients
  

  • 300 gm Prawns
  • 2 nos Green chillies
  • 1 no Tomato cut into small pieces, large
  • 15 nos Cashewnuts
  • Red chillies(Kollamulaku)
  • 30 gm Grated coconut powder
  • 1/2 glass Milk
  • 2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • Fenugreek A little, Uluva
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 50 gm Jaggery Sharkkara
  • Mustard seeds
  • Curry leaves
  • Oil
  • 1 spoon Lemon juice
  • Coriander leaves
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • Powder the cashew nuts and mix it with milk to get a thick paste.
  • Fry the red chilles with fenugreek, coriander powder, turmeric and grated coconut till the coconut turns brown.
  • Mix it with water and jaggery and grind into a paste using a mixer grinder. Keep it aside.
  • Fry the prawns in a little oil till the prawns turns golden and keep this aside too.
  • Heat a little oil in a pan and crackle mustard seeds and add the green chillies and curry leaves.
  • Pour the coconut -red chilly paste into it.
  • Add the tomatoes, salt and the fried prawns and let it boil in low flame till it is cooked.
  • Once cooked, add the cashew paste and garnish with coriander leaves and squeeze little lime on it.
  • :- Serve hot with rotis, naan or rice.
