Kerala Easy Kaalan

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups Thick Butter milk Moru
  • 2 cups Yam&Raw Bananas(Paccha Kkai)(cut into thin slices) Chena
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Fenugreek powder Uluva
  • 1 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1/2 cup Grated coconut
  • 2-3 nos Green chillies
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
  • Curry leaves A few

Instructions
 

  • Grind together the grated coconut and the green chillies.
  • Cook yam and bananas in buttermilk with turmeric powder till soft.
  • Add salt, ground paste and cook for few minutes.
  • Heat the coconut oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and curry leaves and stir fry.
  • Add the buttermilk mixture to this, along with the black pepper and fenugreek powder.
