Pattani Saadham

Combination of Green peas(Pattani) masala and rice

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Rice
  • 1 cup Green peas
  • 1/2 cup Coriander leaves
  • 1/4 cup Mint leaves Pudhina
  • 1 no Onion big
  • 5 nos Garlic pods
  • 1" piece) Ginger
  • 5 nos Green chillies
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 tsp Oil
  • 2 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 5 nos Curry leaves

Instructions
 

  • Pressure cook rice and green peas separately.
  • Grind together coriander leaves, mint leaves, half onion, garlic, ginger, green chillies and 1 tsp of cumin seeds into a paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Add cumin seeds, curry leaves and the remaining half of finely chopped onion.
  • Fry, till it turns transparent.
  • Add the ground paste, cooked peas and salt.
  • Mix it thoroughly, till the raw smell of the paste goes.
  • Add rice and mix well.
  • :- Serve hot with Onion Raita.
