Clean the prawns.
Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
Add onion and saute well.
Add ginger, garlic and green chillies and saute for 2 - 3 mins.
Add prawns, curry leaves and salt.
Cover and cook on a low flame for 10 mins.
:- Do not let the water dry up completely.
Grind together coconut, turmeric powder, chilly powder and garam masala powder.
Add the above mixture along with a few curry leaves into the cooked prawns and mix well.
Stir continuously, until water dries up completely and a nice aroma comes.
:- Serve hot.
