Konchu Thoran Prawns thoran 500 gm Prawns1 no Onion (sliced)2" piece Ginger (crushed)10 nos Garlic pods (crushed)3 nos Green chillies (crushed)2 cups Grated coconut1 tsp Turmeric powder1 1/2 tsp Chilly powder1 tsp Garam masala powderSalt (As reqd)2 tbsp OilCurry leaves (A few) Clean the prawns. Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.Add onion and saute well. Add ginger, garlic and green chillies and saute for 2 - 3 mins. Add prawns, curry leaves and salt.Cover and cook on a low flame for 10 mins.:- Do not let the water dry up completely. Grind together coconut, turmeric powder, chilly powder and garam masala powder.Add the above mixture along with a few curry leaves into the cooked prawns and mix well. Stir continuously, until water dries up completely and a nice aroma comes. :- Serve hot. Kerala
