- 250 gm Mushroom cut into small pieces
- 1 no Onion finely chopped, large
- 1 cup Grated coconut
- 2 nos Red chillies Kollamulaku
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
- 2 nos Garlic pods
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 tsp Black gram Uzhunnuparippu
- Curry leaves A few
- Salt As reqd
- 2 tbsp Oil
Grind together coconut, red chillies, garlic, cumin seeds and turmeric powder into a coarse paste.
Heat a tbsp of oil in a pan or a kadai.
Stir fry the mushrooms, until they are cooked and keep aside.
Pour remaining oil into the kadai.
Splutter mustard seeds.
Add black gram and curry leaves and chopped onion and saute, till they turn golden brown.
Add the ground mixture and saute for 2 - 3 seconds.
Add salt and mix well.
Add mushrooms and cook again for 1 - 2 mins.
