North Indian Style Green Chicken

Chicken with the colour and flavour of coriander and mint leaves

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Chicken
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1/2 kg Curd
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 8 tbsp Coriander leaves
  • 8 tbsp Mint leaves Pudhina
  • 8 nos Green chillies
  • 8-10 Oil

Instructions
 

  • Wash chicken throughly.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Add chicken, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, pepper and salt.
  • Cover and cook on a low flame, till chicken is tender.
  • Grind together mint leaves, curd, coriander leaves, garam masala and green chillies.
  • Add the above paste into the chicken.
  • Cook on a high flame, till the water dries up and oil starts to clear on the sides of the pan.
  • Add water to make a little gravy.
  • Garnish with mint and coriander leaves.
  • :- Serve with rice or parathas.
