Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Basmati rice
  • 1 no Potato peeled and cut into cubes, medium
  • 1 no Onion chopped, big
  • 2 - Green chillies
  • 1/2 cup Fresh or frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup Fresh cauliflower
  • Coriander leaves As reqd
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Red chilly powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • 2 - Oil

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Splutter cumin seeds and mustard seeds.
  • Add chopped onions and green chillies and saute, till they turn golden brown.
  • Add turmeric powder, coriander powder and leave it for a sec.
  • Add potatoes and mix well.
  • Cover and cook, until potatoes are partly cooked.
  • Add cauliflower and peas and stir it well with little salt.
  • :- Add salt only for vegetables.
  • Cover and let it cook.
  • When it is cooked, add boiled rice and mix well.
  • Add salt, garam masala and coriander leaves.
  • :- You have already added salt to vegetables, so add very little for the rice.
  • Mix well and cover it for 4 - 5 min before you serve.
