Prawn Pakora

Prawn(Chemmeen) pakodas - can be used as a starter

Ingredients
  

  • 12 - Prawns medium sized, Chemmeen
  • 3 nos Green chillies
  • 1" piece Ginger
  • 3 - Garlic pods
  • 1/4 cup Coriander leaves
  • Red chilly powder As reqd
  • Turmeric powder A pinch
  • Garam masala powder As reqd
  • Salt As reqd
  • Gram flour As reqd, Kadalapodi
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions
 

  • Boil the prawns along with 1/2 tsp salt and water. Strain the water and set aside.
  • Grind together the green chillies, ginger, garlic and coriander into a smooth paste.
  • Apply the ground paste along with the red chilly powder, turmeric, garam masala and salt onto the prawns.
  • Mix together gram flour, chilly powder, turmeric and salt to make a thick paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Dip the prawns one by one into the batter.
  • Deep fry, till golden brown.
  • :- Serve hot.
