Fish Upperi

Dry fish upperi or fry

Ingredients
  

  • 4 nos Sardines Matthi
  • or
  • 2 nos Mackerel Ayila
  • or
  • 1 can Tuna
  • 1 no Onion medium
  • 1 tsp Ginger finely cut
  • 3 nos Green chillies
  • Curry leaves A few
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 4 tbsp Grated coconut
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Instructions
 

  • Clean the fish and remove all bones and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Splutter mustard seeds.
  • Add sliced onions followed by ginger, green chillies, curry leaves and turmeric powder.
  • Stir for 5 mins.
  • Add fish, salt, coconut and cook on low fire for 10 mins.
  • :- If you are using canned fish, it is easier to make this dish.
