Bread Uppuma - Kerala Style

Uppuma made with bread n potato

Ingredients
  

  • 10 nos Bread slices
  • 3 - Green chilles
  • 1 no Onion big
  • 1 no Potato
  • 3 tsp Ghee
  • 1 tsp Chicken masala/Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped
  • Curry leaves A few

Instructions
 

  • Boil and mash the potato.
  • Chop onions and chillies.
  • Cut the side crumbs of the bread slices and slice them into small squares.
  • Heat the ghee in a tava.
  • Fry the bread slices till golden brown, stirring continuously, to avoid burning. Keep aside.
  • In the same tava, heat the oil.
  • Season with red chilly and mustard seeds(optional) and fry onions till transparent.
  • Add chillies and curry leaves and saute well.
  • Add masala and salt to taste.
  • Add mashed potatoes and mix well.
  • Add the bread slices and curry leaves to the mixture and stir till the mixture is evenly spread.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • :- Serve hot.
