Milagu curry

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg Mutton
  • 2 nos Onions chopped, medium
  • 1/2" piece Ginger
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1 cup Grated coconut
  • 2 cups Water
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1 tbsp Oil

Instructions
 

  • Grind together ginger and garlic to a paste.
  • Heat oil in a pressure pan.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste and fry.
  • Add onions and fry well.
  • Add washed mutton pieces to the onions along with salt and water.
  • Allow it to cook.
  • Grind together ginger, pepper and coconut.
  • When the meat is well cooked, add the above coconut masala and let it boil nicely, till it becomes a thick gravy.
  • :- Serve hot with rice and sambhar.
