Mix together rice flour, gram flour, chilly powder, asafoetida powder, salt and butter.
Take a little of this mixture and add water to it to get a dough like consistency.
Heat oil in a kadai or a pan.
:- To test if the oil is hot enough, drop a pinch of the dough into it. If it sinks, the oil isn`t hot enough. If the dough springs to the top with bubbles all around it, then the oil is ready.
Take some of the dough and pass it through the special ribbon pakoda strainer into the hot oil.
Deep fry till Ribbon pakoda turns golden brown.
Keep flipping the sides till the ribbon pakoda is done.
:- Store Ribbon pakoda in an air tight container.
