Fish Putto With Coconut

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg Fish
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 2 nos Onions large
  • 1 tsp Ginger paste
  • 4 nos Green chillies
  • 1-11/2 cups Grated coconut
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Curry leaves A few
  • Coriander leaves A bunch

Instructions
 

  • Clean and cut the fish into large pieces.
  • Cook with 1/2 cup of water, salt, vinegar and turmeric until it is completely dry.
  • Flake the boiled fish taking care to to take out all the bones and skin.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Season with mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  • Make a paste of onion and green chillies.
  • Add the above paste and ginger paste and fry well.
  • When the mixture becomes brown, add the flaked fish and coconut.
  • Fry stirring all the time till the mixture turns golden brown.
  • Add chopped coriander leaves.
  • :- Serve hot with rice.
