Banana Erisserry
Yummy curry made with banana, black gram and coconut.

- 4 cups Banana pieces
- 1/2 cup Black gram Uzhunnuparippu
- Curry leaves A sprig
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 cup Grated coconut
- 5 nos Grated chillies
- 4 tbsp Oil
- 1/2 cup Curd
- 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
- Salt As reqd
Cook the black gram or dal.
Add water and boil it again along with banana pieces.
Add turmeric, salt, coconut, chillies and cumin mixed in curd. Keep it at simmer.
Season it with fried curry leaves, mustard seeds, broken chillies and black gram dal.
Fry a little of the grated coconut until golden brown and add it to the above mix.
