Banana Erisserry

Yummy curry made with banana, black gram and coconut.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups Banana pieces
  • 1/2 cup Black gram Uzhunnuparippu
  • Curry leaves A sprig
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 cup Grated coconut
  • 5 nos Grated chillies
  • 4 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 cup Curd
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Cook the black gram or dal.
  • Add water and boil it again along with banana pieces.
  • Add turmeric, salt, coconut, chillies and cumin mixed in curd. Keep it at simmer.
  • Season it with fried curry leaves, mustard seeds, broken chillies and black gram dal.
  • Fry a little of the grated coconut until golden brown and add it to the above mix.
  • :- Serve hot.
