Ingredients
  

  • 2 nos Bitter gourd Pavakka/Kayppakka
  • 1 no Onion
  • 1 tsp Ginger ground
  • 3 nos Green chillies
  • 1 cup Coconut ground
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Turmeric powder A pinch
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Grate bitter gourd into very small pieces.
  • Cut onion, chillies and ginger into very small pieces using a grater.
  • Mix together bitter gourd, grated coconut, ginger, turmeric, onion and green chillies.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Add mustard seeds and allow them to crackle.
  • Add the bitter gourd mixture into the frying pan.
  • Add salt and stir well.
  • Keep the pan covered and cook on a low flame for 7 minutes. Stir well.
  • :- Serve hot with plain rice.
