Bitter Gourd Thoran Bitter Gourd(Kayppakka) Thoran 2 nos Bitter gourd (Pavakka/Kayppakka)1 no Onion1 tsp Ginger (ground)3 nos Green chillies1 cup Coconut (ground)1 tsp Mustard seeds1 tbsp OilTurmeric powder (A pinch)Salt (As reqd) Grate bitter gourd into very small pieces.Cut onion, chillies and ginger into very small pieces using a grater.Mix together bitter gourd, grated coconut, ginger, turmeric, onion and green chillies.Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.Add mustard seeds and allow them to crackle.Add the bitter gourd mixture into the frying pan. Add salt and stir well.Keep the pan covered and cook on a low flame for 7 minutes. Stir well.:- Serve hot with plain rice. Kerala
