For preparing Onion Chicken, heat oil in a pan.
Fry half the chopped onions to a golden brown color.
Add ginger-garlic paste, chilly powder, turmeric, coriander powder, salt and fry for a minute.
Add chicken pieces and stir until the pieces are coated well with the onion mixture. Add water if necessary.
Cook until the chicken pieces are soft and tender.
Heat oil in another pan and fry the remaining onion cubes, slit green chilies and cashews for few minutes.
Add the above cooked chicken and stir well.
Sprinkle cumin powder, garam masala powder, chopped coriander leaves, stir and remove from heat.
:- Serve Onion Chicken hot with plain rice or naan.
