Macaroni Chicken

Chicken topped with gravy, macaroni and white sauce

Ingredients
  

For the gravy:

  • 1 cup Boneless boiled chicken pieces shredded
  • 1 cup Macaroni
  • 2 nos Onions
  • 4 nos Tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Curry leaves
  • 2 tsp Coriander leaves
  • 2 tsp Mint leaves
  • ½ tsp Garam Masala
  • 3 nos Green chillies
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • Salt As reqd
  • For garnishing:
  • Grated Carrot
  • Grated Cheese
  • For White Sauce:
  • 1 tsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp Corn flour
  • Milk As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For making the white sauce: 1)Heat butter in a vessel.
  • Add corn flour to it and fry for a while.
  • Add one cup of milk to it. When it becomes thick, add some more milk.
  • Add all the milk and when it attains sauce consistency, remove from the flame.
  • For the macaroni: 1)Boil water and add macaroni to it.
  • Add a tea spoon of oil to it so that it does not stick with one another.
  • Add required salt and boil until soft.
  • Drain and keep the boiled macaroni aside.
  • For the gravy: 1)Heat a tsp of oil in a pan.
  • Add onions into it followed by ginger garlic paste.
  • When golden brown, add tomatoes, turmeric powder, garam masala, green chillies and fry well.
  • When done, add the curry leaves and mint leaves.
  • When gravy is ready, spread it evenly in a serving dish and place chicken pieces profusely on it.
  • Place the boiled macaroni on top of it.
  • Pour the white sauce on it until all ingredients are covered entirely.
  • Decorate it with grated cheese, grated carrot and coriander leaves.
  • :- The same dish could be done with other non vegetarian items or even boiled vegetables.
