Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Basmati rice
  • 1 cup Green Peas
  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1 tsp Aniseeds Perinjeerakam
  • 2 nos Cinnamom Karugapatta
  • 5 nos Cloves Grambu
  • 2 nos Bay leaves Karuga ela
  • 4 nos Cardamoms Elakka
  • 1 no Onion chopped
  • 2 nos Green chillies
  • 7 tbsp Vegetable oil or Ghee
  • Coriander leaves As reqd
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Soak rice in water for half an hour.
  • Heat oil in a pan for about 2 minutes. Add aniseeds, bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, cardamoms & cloves and stir for a few seconds.
  • Add onions, green chillies, ginger & garlic paste & peas. Stir and fry for about 2 minutes.
  • Then, add rice and fry till the rice turns opaque(approximately 3 minutes).
  • Add salt & water and stir it.
  • Allow peas pulao to cook.
  • Finally, garnish the peas pulao with coriander leaves.
  • :- serve peas pulao hot.
