Fish Molly

Fish Molly is a preparation where fish is stewed in coconut milk and very low spiced flavor in masala is prepared. Fish molly cooked in kerala style is a yummy dish that goes well with appam, chappatis and bread.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs Pomphret or any fish
  • 2 nos Tomato
  • 10 nos Whole red chillies
  • 1 no Onion large
  • 5 nos Garlic cloves
  • Pepper As reqd, crushed
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 5 nos Green chillies
  • 1 cup Coconut milk
  • Salt As reqd
  • 2 stems Curry leaves
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 3 tsp Lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • Clean the fish and cut into 1 inch pieces.
  • Crush the red chillies with garlic and keep it aside.
  • Slice the onion thinly.
  • Cut the green chillies lengthwise.
  • Chop the ginger.
  • Put the oil in a cooking pan and sautT the onions and green chillies for five minutes.
  • Then, add the crushed pepper, garlic and ginger. Fry for 3 minutes until the smell of chillies come out.
  • Add the coconut milk, turmeric powder and let it boil.
  • Then, add the fish and salt. Cook well.
  • Next, add the tomato pieces and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Finally, add the lemon juice and curry leaves to Fish Molly.
  • :-Serve Fish Molly hot with rice and bread.
