Prawn Vadai

Vadas made with prawns

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg Prawns skinned and deveined, medium sized
  • 5 nos Green chillies
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 2 nos Garlic pods
  • Curry leaves A few
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Chilly powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • Oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Clean prawns thoroughly.
  • Mix with all the other ingredients and grind coarsely on grinding stone or mixie (preferably grinding stone to get the proper consistency).
  • Make small balls off this mixture.
  • Flatten it a little like vadai and deep fry in oil.
  • When cooked, take out from oil when it is golden brown in color and slightly crisp.
  • :- This is a good side dish with rice or as an evening snacks.
