Bottle Gourd Kofta Curry

Koftas are basically meatballs that can be had as a starter or a snack, it is also cooked in a curry and is had as a main course.Here is the recipe of Bottle-gourd koftha for vegetarians. koftas are not deep-fried, but are simmered and cooked in the curry itself. This makes a tasty combination with rotis and paratha. These kofthas are very easy to make and promise to make a mouth watering delight .

Ingredients
  

  • bottle gourd 200 gms
  • gram flour 5 tbsp
  • red chili powder 2 sp
  • salt to taste
  • onion 1
  • tomato puree from 5 tomatoes
  • coriander powder 2 sp
  • ginger garlic paste 1 sp

Instructions
 

  • grate bottle gourd and squeeze the water
  • to this add turmeric, salt, red chili powder 1 sp, gram flour
  • make it to balls and shallow fry it.
  • heat oil ,add cumin seeds onion and tomato puree.to this add ginger garlic paste , red chili powder, coriander powder salt and allow to cook.
  • now add koftas and simmer. and serve with cream or butter as per taste.
