Milagu Kulambu (pepper Curry)

This milagu kulambu is a very traditional, spicy, tongue tickling and flavorful kuzhambu made with whole black pepper corns.Pepper Kuzhambu is a tamarind based South Indian Kuzhambu variety .This Pepper Kuzhambu is a very tasty dish which goes well with hot white rice.This recipe is about preparing Milagu Kuzhambu in a traditional method.

Ingredients
  

  • spices
  • 3 red chili 2
  • coriander seeds 2 sp
  • pepper corns 2 tbsp
  • cumin seeds 1 sp
  • urad dal 1 sp
  • channa dal 1 sp
  • poppy seeds 1/2 sp
  • coconut 3 tbsp
  • jaggery 1 sp
  • tamarind pulp 2 sp
  • mustard 1/2 sp
  • fenu greek 1/4 sp
  • curry leaves few.

Instructions
 

  • fry all the spices.
  • grind the spices along with coconut, jaggery and tamarind.
  • in oil temper some mustard , fenu greek and curry leaves and add the grounded mix.
  • add enough water and cook
  • when the gravy thickens and oil oozes out, turn off and serve.
