Ridge Gourd-Drumstick Curry/Peechinga Muringakka Curry

Peechinga Muringakka curry is a tasty veg curry,its preparation is very simple,drumsticks and ridge gourd are boiled and cooked in ground coconut and is tempered with seasoning.The combination of drumstick and ridge gourd with spices is absolutely delightful.it goes well with steamed rice.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Ridge gourd
  • 1 cup Drumstick
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1 cup Coconut
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chilli powder
  • 5 nos Shallots
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard
  • Curry leaves little
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Water as required
  • Salt as required

Instructions
 

  • Cook Ridge gourd in water with drumstick,tomato,turmeric powder,chilli powder,curry leaves and salt as required.
  • In the mean time grind coconut with little water.
  • Pour the ground coconut mixture in to cooked veggies, bring it to boil and remove from the flame.
  • Heat oil in a skillet and splutter mustard seed,add chopped shallots and saute until it os golden brown in colour.mix it with the curry.
  • Ridge Gourd-Drumstick Curry/Peechinga Muringakka curry is ready to serve.
