Black Urad Dal Vada

Black urad dal is referred to as black gram. Traditionally this black gram is considered to be a combination of whole urad and rajma. This black gram vada turns out to be a break fast recipe and also to be crispy evening snack. This vada has a great nutritional value. It is a good source of protein and dietary fibers. This preparation is very easy and simple to make in few steps.

Ingredients
  

  • black gram 100 gms
  • raw rice 2 tsp
  • green chilli 2
  • cumin seeds 1 sp
  • salt to taste
  • rice flour 1 sp
  • curry leaf and coriander few
  • onion 1 chopped

Instructions
 

  • wash and soak urad dal and rice together for 45 mins.
  • grind this soaked dal along with green chilli , salt and cumin seeds
  • to this add curry leaf coriander leaf and rice flour and mix well.
  • also add onions and mix well
  • now take a portion and pat it in hand with a hole in it by touching water.
  • just slide it to hot oil and deep fry it.
  • vada is ready to serve
