Carrot Halwa

an easy and delicious traditional north indian sweet

Ingredients
  

  • 3 nos carrot
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 nos cardamom
  • 1/4 tin condensed milk
  • cashews & raisins as required
  • 3 tbsp pure ghee

Instructions
 

  • fry the cashews and raisins in 1 tbsp pure ghee. keep it aside.
  • mix carrot and milk in a nonstick vessel and cook in medium flame by stirring occasionally.
  • once the milk is reduced add the sugar and stir continuously.
  • mix in the fried dry fruits and cardamom.
  • add the remaining pure ghee and condensed milk. mix well.
  • stir continuously in low flame till the halwa starts sticking to the spoon and leave the sides of the vessel.
