Hot Mutton Stew

Hot mutton stew is a popular dish made in country and it is a favorite among many. This stew is prepared in a south Indian style . Coconut milk is added to the stew. A ground mix of masalas with shallots, ginger garlic paste along with spices enhance the taste of this stew. This stew goes well with idli, idiyappam or rotis.

Ingredients
  

  • meat 1/2 kg
  • onion 1
  • cinnamon 1
  • clove 3
  • curry leaf few
  • mustard 1 sp
  • turmeric 1/2 sp
  • salt to taste
  • 4 leaf mint 3
  • tomato 1
  • shallots 1 cup
  • ginger garlic 2 sp
  • red chilli powder 2 sp
  • coriander powder 4 sp
  • coconut milk 1 cup

Instructions
 

  • in oil saute onions with mustard, cinnamon, cloves,curry leafs
  • to this add meat, salt and turmeric
  • meanwhile saute ginger garlic, shallots, and grind with chilli powder and coriander powder.
  • add the paste along with mint and tomato.
  • pressure cook for 3 whistle adding coconut milk and water. adjust salt.
  • serve hot with idli,dosa and chappati
