Panikoorka Baji

Panikoorka has many traditional medicinal uses, especially for the treatment of cough and sore throat. I came to know about this wonderful recipe from my uncle with surprise. I got lot of appreciation from my family for this awesome recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • 10 to Panikoorka leaves
  • 1 cup Channa powder kadala mavu
  • 1/4 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp Ginger paste optional
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, add all the powders, ginger paste and salt with required water to make a batter.
  • Wash the leaves and pat dry it .Dip each leaves in the batter.
  • Heat oil in a pan, fry each leaves on medium flame on both sides till it turns to golden brown.
  • Fantastic Panikoorka Baji is ready. Serve hot with tomato ketchup or mint chutney.
