Himachal Pradesh Mandra

Channa Mandra is a Himachal dish. Madra is a thick, yogurt based gravy that is a popular dish in Pahari. It is a rotein rich dish prepared with channa and yougurt with different spices. It is the best side dish for rotis.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Channa boiled
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • Salt as per taste
  • ½ tsp Garam massla
  • ¼ tsp Hing
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric
  • 2 Cloves, cardamom, cinnamon
  • ½ tsp Jeera
  • 4 tbsp Oil/ ghee
  • ½ cup Water

Instructions
 

  • In pan add oil and temper jeera ,Cloves, cardamom, cinnamon
  • Now in bowl add all spices powder and mix well and sauté well
  • Now add boiled channa mix well
  • Now add Yogurt and mix well cook for 10 mins
  • Now in bowl add rice flour and add water pour in Channa . cook well
  • Now The Famous Himachal Pradesh Mandra is ready to serve.
