Karunai Kilangu Fry (yam Fry)

It is a healthy vegetable which is usually ignored by many people.This has a rich calcium deposit in its roots .This preparation with tangy sauce goes well with rasam and curd rice.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 yams karunai kilangu 5
  • red chilli 3 nos
  • tomato 1/2
  • fennel seeds 1 sp
  • ginger 1 small piece
  • garlic 3 flakes
  • curry leafs few
  • turmeric powder 1/4 sp
  • red chilli powder 1/2 sp
  • salt

Instructions
 

  • take few yams and boil it as such
  • peel skin and slice it
  • deep fry it in oil
  • grind shallots,ginger,gaqrlic,fennel seeds,tomato, curry leaf and salt
  • heat this mixture adusting salt chilli powder with turmeric
  • to this add fried yam and curry leafs
  • stir untill crisp and serve
