Methi Dal
it is a mixture of methi leaves and cooked dals tempered with Indian spices. This dal serves a dual purpose it's extremely good for people with heart ailments along with diabetes as methi helps to control blood sugar.

1 cup Toor dal 1/2 cup Methi leaves 2 Tomato 15 chopped Shallots 2 Green chili 2 Red chili 6 Garlic pods 1 string Curry leaves 1/2 tsp Mustard 1 tsp Channa and urad dal 1/2 tsp Asafeotida 1 tsp Jeera 1/4 tsp Fenugreek 1/2 tsp Turmeric 2 tsp Oil Salt as per taste
In pressure pan add toor dal and tomato and green chili and garlic and turmeric 1 1/2 cup water boil well
Now clean and chop methi leaves
Now add both together and cook for 10 minutes.
Now in pan add oil and temper mustard, fenugreek, jeera, urad and channa dal
Now add shallots, curry leaves and red chili and saute for minute
Now transfer to cooked dal mixture and add salt, mix well
Now allow to cool for ten minutes and mash with masher
Now its ready to serve Methi Dal
