Mint Coriander Chutney
Mint and coriander is one of the most popular combinations for a chutney recipe. we usuall used to prepare this chutney as dip but i prepared this chutney for rice

coriander 1/2 cup mint 1/2 cup urad dal 2 tsp bengal gram 2 tsp coriander seed 1 tsp cumin seed 1/2 tsp small onion 1 cup garlic 5 no. ginger 1 small piece red chili 4 no. green chili 3 no. tomato 1 no. tamarind as required grated coconut 1/4 cup salt to taste oil 3 tsp mustard 1/2 tsp curry leaves 6 no.
in a pan heat the oil and fry the cumin seed and coriander seed
add urad dal and bengal gram and roast it
now add coriander and mint leaves and fry it
in another pan heat the oil and fry the onion, ginger and garlic for 5 minutes
add red chili and green chili and mix it
add tomato, salt and tamarind and mix well and allow to fry for 3 minutes
now add grated coconut and mix well, switch off the flame and allow to cool
add everything in jar and grind it
heat the oil and temper the mustard and curry leaves and transfer into the chutney. now coriander and mint chutney is ready. serve with rice
