South Indian Naattu Kozhi Gravy

Naatu kozhi kulambu is an all time favorite for most chicken lovers especially if you are from the south part of India. Its a spicy curry blended with all natural spices and coconut.

Ingredients
  

  • chicken 1/2 kg
  • small onion paste 1 cup
  • onion 1 no.
  • tomato 1no.
  • mint leaves 1 tsp
  • coriander leaves 1 tsp
  • ginger garlic paste 4 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • red chili powder 1 tsp
  • black pepper 1 tsp
  • coriander masala 4 tsp
  • chicken masala 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • coconut paste 1/2 cup
  • oil 5 tsp
  • mustard 1 tsp
  • curry leaves 1 bunch

Instructions
 

  • clean and wash the chicken
  • in kadai heat the oil and temper the mustard and curry leaves
  • add chopped onion and saute it until it turn into brown
  • add chopped tomato and mix well
  • add coriander leaves and mint leaves and mix well
  • add ginger garlic paste and mix well
  • add onion paste and mix well and allow for 5 minutes until the raw smell goes out
  • add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, chicken masala, black pepper and salt and mix well
  • add chicken, mix well
  • allow to cook in medium flame for 10 minutes
  • add coconut paste and mix well
  • add required water and allow to boil it until the chicken get cooked well and it becomes in gravy consistency
  • naattu kozhi chicken gravy is ready. serve with hot rice
