Besan Ka Cheela

This maharashtrian recipe also called as Puda or vegetarian omelet. It is a combo of besan flour with the mixture of colorful vegetables.

Ingredients
  

  • Besan: 1 cup
  • Red chilli powder; 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder: ¼ tsp
  • Coriander powder: ½ tsp
  • Capsicum: 1 small finely shredded
  • Onion finely chopped : 1 medium
  • Carrot shredded: 1 small
  • Spring onion green chopped: ½ tbsp
  • Some coriander leaves finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Water for batter
  • 3 tsp Oil: 2

Instructions
 

  • Put besan in a bowl. Add small quantities of water to make a smooth batter, so that there should be no lumps in it.
  • Add chilli powder. turmeric powder,coriander powder, carrot, capsicum, spring onion green,chopped onion and chopped coriander leaves. Mix well.
  • Enter Step
  • Add water till it comes to be a dropping consistency or just like dosa batter.
  • Now heat a tawa on medium flame put little oil [1 tsp] & spread. 1 serving spoon full of batter pour on it. After few minutes put some more oil around the omelette and turn upside down.
  • Enter Step
  • Let it be brown and crispy from both sides. Repeat the same method with rest of the batter.Serve hot.
