Ingredients
  

  • Chawli / cow pea : 1 bundle
  • Chawli seeds : 1 cup
  • Coconut : ½ cup grated
  • Black pepper : 1 ½ tsp
  • 4 nos Green chilli : 3
  • Turmeric powder : ¼ tsp
  • Small onion : 4 nos
  • Mustard seeds : ½ tsp
  • Coconut oil :½ tsp
  • Salt : to taste

Instructions
 

  • Remove the upper and lower part of the chawli.
  • Wash and cut the long chawli.
  • Clean and wash the chawli seeds also.
  • Grind coconut, green chilli, pepper, turmeric and small onion coarsely.

  • Mix the ground paste with long chawli and chawli seeds. Add salt and mix well.
  • Heat oil in a pan add mustard and curry leaves.
  • After splutter the mustard seeds add this chawli and little water.Mix well.
  • Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Remove in a bowl and serve with rice or chappathi.
