Ulli Theeyal Olathu

A Simple side dish with rice

Ingredients
  

  • Spring onion (ulli theeyal) : 250 gm
  • Onion : 50 gm
  • Green chilly : 2 nos
  • Mustard : 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves :1 spring
  • Chilly powder : 1 tsp
  • Salt : to taste
  • Oil : 1 tsp

Instructions
 

  • Heat a pan and add oil in it, when it gets hot add mustard .
  • When the mustard splutters add the onion , green chilly and curry leaves in to it.
  • When it gets brown add the spring onion in to it and stir well.
  • Add little water and 1 tsp chilly powder and salt to it.
  • Then close it and wait for 5 minutes.
  • It will take only total 10 to 15 minutes for this olathu and it’s a nice combination with rice.
  • Transfer to the serving dish.
