Traditional Kaalan Recipe Made Using Curd

Ingredients
  

  • Vegetables : 1 cup ( usually we use banana)
  • Curd : ½ cup
  • Coconut : ½ cup
  • Cumin seeds : tsp
  • Green chilly : 3 nos
  • Curry leaves : 1 spring
  • Mustard :2 tsp
  • Dried red chilly : 5 nos
  • Chilly powder : 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder : 1 tsp
  • Salt : to taste

Instructions
 

  • Cook the vegetable using little water chilly powder and salt.
  • Enter Step
  • Grind the coconut, cumin seeds and green chilly.
  • When it gets cooked add curd to it and stir continuously.
  • To this add the grinded mixture of coconut.
  • Stir it well and off the flame.
  • Heat a pan add oil to it and when its hot add mustard and when it splutters add dried red chilly and curry leaves to it ,sauté it well.
  • Pour this matter to the mixture.
  • Stir well.
