Cucumber Raita

very simple and easy side dish

Ingredients
  

  • Thick plain yogurt / dahi : 400 gm
  • Cucumber : 250 gm
  • Kala namak : ½ tsp
  • Sugar : 2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds : ½ tsp
  • Asafoetida : ¼ tsp
  • Chopped coriander leaves : few
  • 8 nos Curry leaves : 6
  • Oil : 2 tsp
  • Salt : to taste

Instructions
 

  • Whiskthe yoghurt / dahi till smooth.
  • Addsugar, salt and black salt / kala namak and mix well till the sugar dissolves.
  • Finelychop the cucumber and add to the yoghurt / dahi.
  • Add coriander leaves and mix.
  • Heatoil in a pan and add the mustard seeds, hing and curry leaves.
  • Pouron top of the yoghurt / dahi and mix.
