- Boil potatoes in cooker with salt and little turmeric powder and cut them into medium sized cubes. 
- Take avil in a strainer and wash with cold water 2 times. Keep aside for water to drip. 
- Heat oil in a pan or kadai. 
- Splutter the mustard seeds. 
- Add the chopped garlic and saute till it turns light brown. 
- Add green chillies, turmeric powder, chilly powder and salt and stir. 
- Add the onions and fry for sometime till it becomes golden brown. 
- Add the cut potatoes and fry for few minutes till all the ingredients get mixed well. 
- Add the washed powa(avil) and mix well. 
- Sprinkle a little water and close with a lid. 
- Cook on low flame for about 4 - 5 mins stirring in between. 
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. 
- :- Serve hot.
