Beef Chaaps | Spicy Beef Chaaps

Ingredients
  

For Cooking Beef:

  • 500 g Beef
  • Tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 Tsp Pepper powder
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic Crushed
  • 1 Tsp Garam Masala powder
  • 2 Nos. Green chillies Slit
  • ½ Tsp Turmeric powder
  • ½ Cup Water

For Preparing Gravy:

  • 2 tbsp Coconut oil
  • ½ Tsp Mustard seeds
  • ½ Tsp Fenugreek seeds
  • 2 Nos. Onion Sliced
  • 1 Tbsp Ginger garlic crushed
  • 2 Nos. Green chillies Chopped
  • Curry leaves Few
  • 2 Tbsp coriander powder
  • ½ Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 Tsp Pepper powder
  • 1 Cup Thick coconut milk
  • ½ Tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1 Tsp Fennel seeds
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

For Cooking Beef:

  • Clean, wash and drain the beef.

  • Take a pressure cooker and add cleaned beef, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder, garlic, garam masala, green chilly and salt as required.
  • Add half cup of water and cook for 6-7 whistles or until done. Keep aside.

For Preparing Gravy:

  • Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard and fenugreek seeds.
  • Add sliced onion, green chilly, crushed ginger garlic and few curry leaves.
  • Sauté until it becomes soft and light brown in colour.
  • Then add coriander powder and saute it for one minute to get rid of the raw smell.
  • Then add pepper powder and turmeric powder.
  • Add the cooked beef along with water. Bring it to boil.
  • Then pour the coconut milk.
  • Add garam masala powder and combine well.
  • When it starts to boil, remove from the flame.
  • Tasty Beef Chaaps is ready. Serve along with porotta, chappathi, ghee rice etc.
