- Heat 2 - 3 tsp of oil in a pan. 
- Splutter mustard seeds followed by cumin seeds. 
- Add the finely chopped onions, slit green chillies, crushed garlic and curry leaves. 
- When the onions turn transparent, add the diced tomatoes. 
- When the tomatoes turn pulpy add the chilly powder, coriander powder, tumeric powder and salt to taste. 
- Add the drumsticks and pour water to cover everything. 
- Cover and allow it to cook. 
- When the drumsticks are almost done, add the brinjal pieces. 
- Cover and allow it to cook. 
- Check for salt and spice. 
- Once all the water evaporates and the veg are nicely fried, remove from fire. 
- :- Variations:  You can make this recipe with just drumsticks or just brinjal too. 
- :- Good side dish for sambar rice, rasam rice, curd rice, and if you are anything like me, you would enjoy it with just hot plain rice.
