Kabuli Chana Curry

An easy side dish with Kabuli chana

Ingredients
  

  • 1 bowl Kabuli Chana
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Water As reqd
  • 1 tsp Chilli powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 no Onion medium
  • 1 no Tomato
  • 2 inch Ginger
  • 3 nos Green chillies slit lengthwise
  • Curry leaves A few
  • Coriander leaves As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Soak chana overnight in water.
  • Wash the chana and boil it in cooker with 3 glasses of water, salt and turmeric powder.
  • After the first whistle, lower down the flame and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Turn off the flame and wait until the steam comes out.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onion, green chillies, chopped ginger and curry leaves and saute till it turns to light golden colour.
  • Add coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, garam masala powder and tomato.
  • Saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add boiled chana and mix well.
  • Transfer the contents to a serving bowl.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and chopped onion.
