Peel and cut the banana into small cubes. Wash it repeatedly to get rid off the thick sap.
Add the washed banana pieces to the cooker and add chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt as required.
Add water, cover and pressure cook for 2 whistles.
In the mean time add the grated coconut into blender jar along with cumin seeds. Grind it to make a coarse paste.
When the pressure releases add the cooked banana into a pan and add curry leaves.
Add the ground coconut mix and combine well. Bring it to boil and remove from the flame.
Finally, heat oil in a kadai and splutter mustard seeds. Add chopped shallots, curry leaves, dried red chilly and grated coconut .
Fry till the coconut turns nice brown in color.
Add it into the prepared curry and mix well.
Delicious Raw banana Erisseri is ready now.
