Instructions
 

  • Peel and cut the banana into small cubes. Wash it repeatedly to get rid off the thick sap.
  • Add the washed banana pieces to the cooker and add chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt as required.
  • Add water, cover and pressure cook for 2 whistles.
  • In the mean time add the grated coconut into blender jar along with cumin seeds. Grind it to make a coarse paste.
  • When the pressure releases add the cooked banana into a pan and add curry leaves.
  • Add the ground coconut mix and combine well. Bring it to boil and remove from the flame.
  • Finally, heat oil in a kadai and splutter mustard seeds. Add chopped shallots, curry leaves, dried red chilly and grated coconut .
  • Fry till the coconut turns nice brown in color.
  • Add it into the prepared curry and mix well.
  • Delicious Raw banana Erisseri is ready now.
